Christopher Bollas trained at the Institute of Psychoanalysis in London and qualified as a psychoanalyst in 1977.

He also trained at the Tavistock Clinic in adult psychotherapy, group psychoanalysis, couples therapy, and organizational psychology.

He practices in Santa Barbara California seeing patients in person as well as by Skype and on the telephone.
